We have a Son-in-law!!!

On Thursday night:

We joined Dan's family to celebrate his birthday (April 13th) at Steamers. Crawfish Heaven! However, the best part was getting to eat a piece of Wanda's famous strawberry cake. If you have never tasted Dan's mother's strawberry cake, I feel for you, it is the BEST.

On Friday:

Krisha and I started the day at Nancy Taylor's Spa for massages, pedicures, and manicures. We had a wonderful lunch of chicken salad with fruit at a new place called FIG.

Rehearsal dinner was held at the Yacht Club. Dan and Krisha showed a DVD presentation of them from childhood up to the present. It was so cute, and yes, many tears were shed while watching it!!! Jim received a silver monogrammed box and I received a beautiful Pandora charm bracelet from the happy couple. (YES, my hair looks terrible below, we were under a tornado WARNING while I was at the salon. I survived the warning, but not the heavy down pour!)

Avery and Gavin!

Krisha, Danyell and Dan!

On Saturday:

The day began at 7:00 a.m. with an intensed emotional pace. Appointments for our hair, makeup, picking up last minute items. However, the day ended with a beautiful wedding and reception......and we gained a son!

Wedding Activities......

We arrived in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Saturday morning around 3:00 a.m. It rained ALL the way! However, we were ready to start the wedding activities on Saturday. They started with Krisha and I attending her bridesmaid's luncheon. The luncheon was held at my sister's house and everything was decorated so nice and festive.

After the luncheon and doing a few errands around town, we headed to Lake Tuscaloosa to Dan's aunt and uncle's beautiful home for the "Handy Dan" tool party and BBQ. It was a great time visiting with family and friends. Dan got a lot of very useful tools he can use around the house.

Chloe had a great time at the tool party looking at all the stuffed animals and knick-knacks. Her favorite thing was the "talking pony."

On Sunday, we helped Krisha and Dan at their house in Bankston get some of their things organized.

On Monday, they moved part of Krisha's furniture to Bankston.

Tuesday and Wednesday have been "Rest" days for us. However, the rush will be on starting tomorrow!!!
