Homecoming Parade....

Jim and I went with Krisha and the girls to Alabama's Homecoming Parade on Saturday. Before the parade Krisha and I had to make a stop in "The Shirt Shop" for a new tee, then Jim treated us to lunch at Mugshots. Aubrey and Lainey enjoyed the parade, but Lainey is more outgoing and not as afraid to talk to people. She loved waving at the beautiful Queen and her court....while Aubrey had her head on Jim's shoulder peeking out with one eye!

Jim and Krisha went to the ballgame, but the girls and I stayed home and watched Shrek, Shrek II, Shrek Forever After and Scared Shrekless!!! (I got to get updated scores of the game as I changed movies!)

Jim, Ed and Krisha

Today when they came over, we (Aubrey, Lainey, Pop Pop, D, and Dan) had to pretend that we were having a parade in the backyard. One person held the baton, another played the drums, another threw out candy to the crowd, and the other person was the crowd! Over and over, and over again! They have a wonderful imagination.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend too!

Catching up.......

Several people have asked why I haven't been updating our blog. I could say that I've just been lazy and haven't been as dedicated to it as I should be, but instead I am going to say that it is because we have been busy living life, instead of writing about it! (Sounds better, right?)

Jim recently became the Plywood Plant Superintendent for Koch (Georgia Pacific) in Taylorsville, MS. God has truly blessed us with this opportunity. It also put him closer to home! He is very excited about the challenges ahead with this position.

We have been very active in our church's Life Group. If you aren't familiar with what this is, instead of having Sunday night services at our church, we meet in each other's homes. We have been blessed to become part of a group that  is totally amazing. We can not imagine facing any kind of life situation without these Christian friends beside us.
We have a "theme" each week (Mexican, Tailgating, Comfort Foods, etc.) and everyone brings a dish. We eat, discuss the morning sermon given by Brother Dan (Williams), do praise/prayer request and then eat again!!!! What could be better!!
Jim and I have hosted two of the Life Group meetings recently and enjoyed having these great people in our home. They are no longer guests, they are family!
Some of the great people in our group:

Scott & Kathy

David & Karen , Reagan

Aleixs & Autumn

Gerald & Denise

Rick & Kristy

Luke, Kristy & family
Joseph & Courtney

Naturally, most of our time is spent being Pop Pop and "D" to the girls. They are growing up so fast and changing so much.

Beautiful Litte Girls, no longer babies :(

Mascots for Berry's Homecoming
Helping Krisha blow our her birthday candles!
All our beautiful girls together

Eli has been battling an ear infection and allergies all summer. Hopefully this last round of medication finally resolved the ear infection. He loves when the girls come to visit.

And, we have really, really been enjoying BAMA football, ROLL TIDE.

(Notice ANYTHING wrong with that picture? We still love you Dan!!!)

OH, some more exciting news..................

I have offically become a member of a ladies Bunco group. We meet once a month for a wonderful time of eating, socializing and playing Bunco. This game is so addictive! I love playing it and I am having so much fun with these 11 ladies!! (Did I mention I won last month???? I won all the great gifts for Fall decorating, my house looks great!)

I am sure I am leaving out an important event that happened, but this should catch the blog up. Thanks for reading...........now, back to living, not writing about it.
