Chloe's Beauty Pageant

We recently went to Chloe's first beauty pageant. She was BEAUTIFUL. Aubrey and Lainey were mesmerized by all of the beautiful little girls in their glamorous pageant dresses. They had never seen so many "princesses" in one place before.  They kept saying how pretty Chloe was.....and she was, she is.
I proudly give up my place as the #1 redhead in our family, and pass the torch to Chloe now.

Uncle Jim and I were so proud of her. She did an outstanding job.

Pawpaw and Meme were even prouder!

On 02/12/2012 it officially happened....

Yep, it has happened.

AUBREY & LAINEY WROTE ON MOMA D's WALLS

Krisha was asleep in the recliner, Jim was watching golf on TV, and I was on the couch surfing the internet for news about Whitney Houston's death. (Dan was at work)

To us (the grown ups) we think the girls are just in their room playing with all of their  toys. However, suddenly Jim pops up straight on the other couch, looks at me and in a scared voice says, "They are writing on the wall!"  I jump up and  both of them are going at it while on Lainey's bed. Not leisurely with just one hand each, they have crayons in BOTH hands going at it! The wall never had a chance.

So, Krisha looks at me and says, "Those were washable crayons, right?" In my defense, it has been almost 30 years since I had a child with crayons.......seriously,  you can get washable crayons? We soon discovered, they were not washable crayons.

Krisha goes to purchase Mr. Clean's magical erasers and we go to work. Will the walls ever look normal again? Only time will tell after they have a chance to dry.

As we were getting in the car to go to Life Group, I looked at Krisha and said, "Well, I think that I handled that better than I did when you wrote on the walls as a child!" I am getting better! Ha. (Yes, it is true........our grandchildren can get away with A LOT more than our children ever thought about getting away with!)
