Several people have asked why I haven't been updating our blog. I could say that I've just been lazy and haven't been as dedicated to it as I should be, but instead I am going to say that it is because we have been busy living life, instead of writing about it! (Sounds better, right?)
Jim recently became the Plywood Plant Superintendent for Koch (Georgia Pacific) in Taylorsville, MS. God has truly blessed us with this opportunity. It also put him closer to home! He is very excited about the challenges ahead with this position.
We have been very active in our church's Life Group. If you aren't familiar with what this is, instead of having Sunday night services at our church, we meet in each other's homes. We have been blessed to become part of a group that is totally amazing. We can not imagine facing any kind of life situation without these Christian friends beside us.
We have a "theme" each week (Mexican, Tailgating, Comfort Foods, etc.) and everyone brings a dish. We eat, discuss the morning sermon given by Brother Dan (Williams), do praise/prayer request and then eat again!!!! What could be better!!
Jim and I have hosted two of the Life Group meetings recently and enjoyed having these great people in our home. They are no longer guests, they are family!
Some of the great people in our group:
Scott & Kathy |
David & Karen , Reagan |
Aleixs & Autumn |
Gerald & Denise |
Rick & Kristy |
Luke, Kristy & family |
Joseph & Courtney |
Naturally, most of our time is spent being Pop Pop and "D" to the girls. They are growing up so fast and changing so much.
Beautiful Litte Girls, no longer babies :( |
Mascots for Berry's Homecoming |
Helping Krisha blow our her birthday candles! |
Eli has been battling an ear infection and allergies all summer. Hopefully this last round of medication finally resolved the ear infection. He loves when the girls come to visit.
And, we have really, really been enjoying BAMA football, ROLL TIDE.
OH, some more exciting news..................
I have offically become a member of a ladies Bunco group. We meet once a month for a wonderful time of eating, socializing and playing Bunco. This game is so addictive! I love playing it and I am having so much fun with these 11 ladies!! (Did I mention I won last month???? I won all the great gifts for Fall decorating, my house looks great!)
I am sure I am leaving out an important event that happened, but this should catch the blog up. Thanks for reading...........now, back to living, not writing about it.

I am so glad you are blogging again. I came across your blog through Krisha's (I came across her blog through another blog). I too have twin girls that are 16 months and I like to see what your gbabies are going through at every stage. Looking back at Krisha's high school picture, did she ever work at Wal-Mart in Fayette? She looks so familiar as a blond. I worked there before, through the opening and through Feb. 2001. Anywho, thanks for the update.
Yes,Krisha worked at Walmart in Fayette. It was her junior/senior year...or somewhere in there 1998-2000.
Glad you are reading the blog!
Oh, Bunco...sounds like such fun! I'm all about a reason to get together for fun and food!! :)
