Eli's Birthday Steak
And, of course he had to have a Birthday cake too! (again, no we did not let him eat it, just lick it enough to get a taste!)
The sad part of it all, after he opened his presents, ate his steak and got to lick his cake.....he went back to the closet where he knew I had been keeping all of his birthday presents this week and lay in the floor in front of the door and whined?????? I guess we forgot to get something that was on his list or he thought that there should have been more! However, at the moment he is lying at my feet, stretched out and snoring away. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELI.

Happy Birthday to Beau and Eli
Our boys will be celebrating their 5th Birthday on June 15th. It seems like only yesterday that Krisha and I were on the website waiting for the "new puppies" to be posted (and praying that the "dial-up service" we had in Oklahoma would not shut down in the process!). Then, after looking at all the puppies and having that feeling of just knowing which one belong to us..........praying that our call got answered first and we could claim our new family members! We had to wait about five weeks before we could pickup our new babies and claim them as ours forever.
It was a long, exciting ride from Oklahoma to Alabama that August weekend for Jim and I. Krisha would already have the new bundles of joy at her house when we arrived and we could not wait to see our new son!
It was a great weekend bonding with the two little ones. But, it was also sad on that Sunday when we had to separate them. Beau would be staying in Alabama with Krisha, while Eli's new home would be with us in Oklahoma.
Eli has been such a joy to us. He helped me get through one of the greatest challenges of my life (moving away from Alabama and my family) and is always by my side. However, he is also a Daddy's boy too! He loves spending time with his Daddy and riding in the truck.
It is a
family tradition
that
Jim grills ribeye
steaks for Eli's
birthday.
We are looking forward
to a great party!
Below are some pictures from past birthday celebrations.
